About Us

Our Story

Healthcare Collaborative Benefits Inc., which operates under the name Collaborative Benefits, was formed through a collaboration of the Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) and HIROC Management Limited (HML).

Rooted deeply in the sector, our newly created not-for-profit entity is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive, province-wide healthcare employee group benefits strategy. Collaborative Benefits delivers healthcare benefits and provides innovative approaches that enable cost-savings, enhanced employer and employee experience and greater efficiency for participating healthcare organizations. 

We deliver healthcare benefits and introduce innovative approaches that foster cost-savings, enhance employer and employee experiences, and drive greater efficiency for participating healthcare organizations.

Collaborative Benefits sets a new standard as a made-for-healthcare solution that is co-designed with the sector and those it serves.
 
Health leaders, providers, and employees are all part of the unique community guiding Collaborative Benefits, ensuring it is responsive to the evolving needs of participating organizations.  

Collaboration across the sector and with participating healthcare leaders, service providers and system stakeholders, is key to Collaborative Benefits’ success. While the OHA and HML are its founding members, Collaborative Benefits will be governed by a skills-based board comprised of representatives from healthcare organizations participating in the strategy.
